Winter Jam 2013

I've kind of neglected my blog for awhile...sorry! It's been a crazy few weeks- but so much fun!! ☺

So...  ♫WINTER JAM!♫

It was seriously the most awesomest [is that even a word?] thing ever!  I went with Kristen & Kyle Brunner & their mom and Silas, Rosie & Jesse. 

I think that one of the best parts was seeing Jesse's face while he was there. He's never really been to a real concert before so Winter Jam was like the coolest thing ever for him. He was in total awe! It was so great! ♥
Later on he said, "Wow. Valerie, that was the coolest most amazing thing I have ever seen...like ever. Whenever I would stop clapping and jumping up and down with Jess he would look at me and say. "Come on Valerie!! Keep doing it!!" haha ☺ {He is just so darn cute! How can you say no to that face?! lol}

My other favorite part was 1.) getting to see Jason Castro!! -We didn't think we were going to be able to see him... but we did!! Best surprise ever! And Kristen, Rosie & I got to talk to him, take a picture and get an autograph!  Ahhh!! It totally made my my whole year!! ☺

 It was so tinsel ! Seriously.

The other artists that were there are:

tobyMac -Ahhhhhhh!!! He was the bombest!
Matthew West -he made me laugh so hard; it was great!
Red -they had a lot of really cool things like fire and all that jazz. -not really one of the favorite bands...but it was still pretty cool to watch
Jamie Grace -she was just so darn cute! ☺
Newsong 
Sidewalk Prophets -i really like them, too!
Royal Tailor- LOVE them! they are Jesse's favorite. that dude has some crazy moves! lol
OBB
Capital Kings -I had never heard of them before, but I really liked them & bought their CD- I love it!
Speaker: Nick Hall- He is a really good speaker! i like him a lot

Nope, It's not better than none.

This morning I was making myself a smoothie for breakfast.

We had strawberries and peaches- so that's what I used. Unfortunately, the only protein powder we have right now is chocolate. So I thought to myself, "Well I guess chocolate protein powder is better than none, right?"

Nope.

I was wrong.

And it's pretty nasty.

Sooooo.... the moral of this story is: Never, under any circumstances use chocolate protein powder. It's just yucky!

Ok- that's all I've got for you.

But I Was Almost Better!

Just when you think to yourself, "Yes! I think I almost done being sick!"....

Kleenex is seriously my new best friend. Sorry kids, you've been replaced..what can I say?

Sunday School!

On Sunday, Mom, Rosie & I were supposed to do Children's Church... but she wasn't feeling good and neither was Levi so she stayed home...leaving Dad, Rosie & I  to do it!

I was so funny! We had a really fun time with all fourteen of those crazy kids :D [I think they like my dad more than they liked Rosie or I. hahaha!]

At the beginning of the class Dad got some of the kids to "build the tallest tower ever!" out of Lego blocks. It did get pretty tall but it kept breaking because we forgot to hold it together lol

My brother Jesse never ceases to amuse me! That kid just cracks me up!!

For instance: Last night, all five of us kids had places to go from 6-8. Maryrose, Jess & Levi had play practice at the Holland Theater and Silas and I had a Center Stage Productions crew leader meeting across the street at Sweet Aromas Coffee Shop [greatest place ever! ..and I don't even like coffee- well, except I am totally addicted to chocolate covered espresso beans...just putting it out there.. haha☺]

Anyway...... Silas and I went to pick them up around 8: 30. We parked near a car that really looked like ours, at least in the dark anyway. Jesse accidently walked up to the the other car [he thought it was us.] and opened the door to get in! He said the guy in there was like, "Not here, kid!"
Then Jesse freaked and said, "Oh my gosh! I am SO sorry!" in his silly Jesse way!

Funniest thing ever! I love that guy! I think the best part about the whole story was listening to Jesse tell it- I was laughing SOOO HARD!

You should totally ask him about it next time ya see him!

Well, now I believe that I shall enjoy one of my favorite things in the whole world: tater tots!!! yippie!! [thanks, mommy!]

PS- Jesse saw the same guy in the car tonight after practice and almost did the same thing again! hahahahahahaha!!

I Still Got Time!

Morning classes were cancelled today at co-op!

Now I'm studying for the written test to get my permit...oh joy.

Hahaha☺ I'm super excited to finally be old enough to get my permit! Look out world! ( Seriously though, I'm not kidding... Look out. LOL!)

Also, I am so excited about Winter Jam! It is really sad when you realize you've been working on the same math problem for the last 15 minutes because you keep day dreaming about January 19th when you get to go to the coolest concert ever. It's gonna be GREAT!

Oh, guess what?! I think I have the coolest school project ever... It is an assignment from my consumer math class. We have to "go shopping" for an outfit (don't actually have to buy it..however I might lol jk!) and compare prices on a similar outfit at 5 different stores. (eg.  Forever 21, Walmart, Target, Goody's, Maurice's, American Eagle, thrift store, consignment store, etc.) I'm not gonna lie, this is pretty exciting! Well, at least I think it is...none of the guys in my class seemed that excited. hahaha ☺So I spent an hour yesterday looking a clothes! YES!

PS- umm..yeah, I think I've given up on the wonderful idea of having a "signature" or whatever it is called. It is 2 much work to remember to put it on each post. As amazingly brilliant as it may have been, it's just not working out for me. bummer.

So, yeah... I'm sick. -Have been since Monday!

Also, I've learned 3 excited things today!

Three Exciting Things I've learned Today:

 
1. It is quite possible to go through about 3 boxes of Kleenex in one day. 
2. I now have a favorite type of tissues!! They are called Cool Touch Kleenex. It's gotta be the coolest thing since sliced bread!! [Oh gosh, that's just wrong when I get excited about Kleenex! LOL]
3. I was reading Romans today and came across one of my favorite verses...like ever!      

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Romans 1:16

Oh! Guess what?! I got an email from my drama club director tonight! Auditions aren't until February 2nd!! PRAISE THE LORD!

Ok, here it is...

 Hi, um... hello. I'm Mia. Um, it's stopped raining! I'm really no good at speech-making. Normally I get so nervous that I faint or run away, or sometimes I even get sick. But you really didn't need to know that... But I'm not so afraid anymore. See, my father helped me. Earlier this evening I had every intention of giving up my claim to the throne. And my mother helped me, by telling me it was ok, and by supporting me like she has for my entire life. But then I wondered how I'd feel after abdicating my role as Princess of Genovia. Would I feel relieved, or would I feel sad? And then I realized how many stupid times a day I use the word 'I.' And probably all I ever do is think about myself. And how lame is that when there's like seven billion other people out there on the planet, and... sorry, I'm going too fast. But then I thought, if I cared about the other seven billion out there, instead of just me, that's probably a much better use of my time.See, if i were Princess of Genovia, then my thoughts and the thoughts of people smarter than me would be much better heard, and just maybe those thoughts could be turned into actions. So this morning when I woke up, I was Mia Thermopolis. But now I choose to be forevermore, Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi, Princess of Genovia.

Ok, I gotta go blow my nose again. haha☺
